Choc energy balls
These healthier treats contain just enough natural sugars to feel like an indulgence, whilst also being packed full of healthy protein to balance blood sugar levels and omega fats to support brain health.
  • 50g dark chocolate, melted
  • 1 T tahini
  • 1 T honey
  • 2 chopped dates, or equivalent raisins
  • 1 T ground flaxseeds
  • 50g chopped mixed nuts/seeds (I used walnuts, pecans and pumpkin seeds)
  • 50g oats
  • 3 drops doTERRA wild orange essential oil (optional) if you want to make it chocolate orange flavoured

Simply mix all ingredients together. Shape into rough balls or spoon into mini cake cases. Keep in the fridge.

I used 85% dark chocolate. If you use less bitter chocolate or even milk chocolate you may need less or even no honey. My general aim is to add the least possible extra sweetener (even natural sweetener like honey) whilst still making them taste good!
