About Me
Vicki Gotham, Dip ION, mBANT, BA (Hons), Foresight Practitioner My interest in nutrition began a number of years ago when I had first hand experience of the effect that diet can have on health. Most people would agree that eating well is fundamental to health, yet it is a frustrating fact that diet is often the last avenue to be explored when searching for an answer to health problems. Unfortunately, the average 21st century diet is so lacking in essential nutrients and so packed full of anti-nutrients that knowing what you should be eating can be difficult and confusing. That is why I decided to study nutrition for 3 years at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) in London,
graduating with a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy (Dip ION) and a Foundation Degree in Nutritional Therapy from the University of Bedfordshire. I am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT). I am also a Nutritional Therapy Council (NTC) registered practitioner - the NTC is the professional standards council for nutritional therapy. In addition to this I am a registered Foresight Practitioner. Foresight is a charitable organisation involved in the promotion of preconceptual care. 78.4% of "infertile" couples who follow the Foresight programme have healthy babies. I attend regular seminars and lectures and subscribe to numerous publications to keep up to date on the latest developments in nutritional therapy and how it can be used in the treatment of a huge array of health issues. My aim is to offer practical, achievable dietary advice that you can follow and fit into your daily life, empowering you to take greater control over your own health and quality of life.
